Sonderhoff Services – more quality through synergy

Sonderhoff services is, as part of the Sonderhoff enterprise group, the service centre for the application of   the Sonderhoff material and dispensing system portfolio. We combine the chemical competence of Sonderhoff Chemicals and the technical competence of Sonderhoff Engineering with creative services that offer a programme with a single objective: satisfied customers.

This also means that we stand side by side with our clients from the consultation stage, through the prototyping, right up to the volume production of large quantities. With a team that can always be reached. Personally.

Because satisfaction doesn’t come from “almost“.

Job order production, the cunning alternative!

Use Sonderhoff Services as your “extended workbench” – it has several advantages:

Customers who want to outsource sealing from their production chain, or who would like to take the first steps in using this technology together with us, have access to the entire group knowledge through Sonderhoff Services.

They have the opportunity to carry out test runs or new development without disrupting their own production. At the same time our company group ensures the integration of your developments and production processes with practical experience.

We offer you complementary production capacity, of your own production or personnel structures are insufficient to meet peaks of demand.

For if you unite experience, know-how, innovative power, dedication and team spirit into a homogeneous overall concept, the result is synergy you can talk about.

From part development to large-scale volume production – the four modules of our service offer

Currently, with our more than 30 employees, we process sealing and potting systems with 2-component polyurethane and silicone which are perfectly adjusted to the particular part the customer wants sealed, and are applied directly to it using FIP(F)G processes.

Our range of activities includes foam sealing and potting with an output rate of 0.05 g/s to 6 g/s (larger output possible on request) as well as foam moulding to the shapes determined by our customers.

Consultation and developments of prototypes

Sealing and potting systems with the most varied characteristics and FIPFG construction are the basis for our successful solutions. Here at Sonderhoff Services we support you from the construction phase onward and advise you as regards the ideal part design and the material system that suits it to ensure reliable part processing.

Pre-processing

Our customers decide what requirements they have of the adhesion of the seal. This ranges from a simple assembly attachment, so that the seal does not fall off during transport, to a bond whereby the seal can only be removed by mechanical destruction of the part.

Whether the material qualities of a part can ensure adhesion without pre-processing must be determined on an individual basis.

To improve bonding, two forms of pre-processing are available to us:

  • Thermal processing: Plasma treatment, flame treatment
  • Chemical processing: all sorts of primers

We will happily advise you on which pre-treatment is the right one for your part.

Prototyping

Even sample parts and prototypes must fulfil the demands that will be placed on the future volume part.

By means of parts produced in small quantities, tests can be carried out before volume production to try out the suitability of the material system.

Sampling and pilot series are produced in our technology centre on approx. 200 m2 with 2 low-pressure mixing and dispensing systems, with 2 highly dynamic 3-axis robots by Sonderhoff Engineering.

Job order production

Many customers from diverse sectors have put their trust in us and let their parts be processed in our systems. These parts, principally intended for the automotive, lighting, electronics, machine, filter and household appliances industries, are produced in a production area of approx. 1.200 m2 with 13 low-pressure mixing and dispensing systems with highly dynamic 3-axis linear robots by Sonderhoff Engineering.

10 systems are used for polyurethane, 2 for silicone, 1 for FIP CC.

Foam sealing and potting with polyurethane and silicone – our products for a broad range of uses!

2-Component polyurethane and silicone systems offer you the full range of physical requirements: temperature resistant, tear-resistant, weather resistant, liquid and substance resistant, and much more.
We guarantee you the right choice of material system, because every product requires a tailor-made solution, and will happily advise you on which material is the right one for your product.
